Data Without Doctoring After Dark Dr. David Owen

I was able to dig up the ICU bed availability on another web site.(yessss!) The gist is that beds are available, but ya have to look. Statewise there is 18.02% ICU bed capacity. Fox was correct to a point this morning, citing bed shortage, but only for several small hospitals which tend to run out quickly anyway. In larger and mid sized hospitals there is capacity in Dade and Broward. PBC is absolutely no problem as I see it. Now for the numbers: % bed usage Gen/ICU is running: Dade-unk, Broward-82/89, PBC-69/75. For specific numbers Dade's largest hospital is at max ICU capacity at this time and others run approx. 3-37 %, so there IS capacity in Dade. Broward a bit tighter with max capacity in the largest hosp. too and approx. 11-18% in the next largest hospitals and 5-15% in mid-sized hospitals. PBC, I won't bore you with the numbers. Trust me, no problem at all. As for general beds they are stable and available in all three counties with no problem at all in PBC outside of the small outlier, Good Sam(10%). So, despite the media hysteria, you should not hear of any further drastic actions taken by sleep-deprived PH and county officials. If they freak and restrict us, vote them out of office this Nov.!! ____ www.frankcastingmediagroup.com www.frankmulhall.com
