Night report: no overall change with sl. improving beds in Dade and Broward and sl. tightening in PBC. Statewide bed usage continues to decrease with 10.64% beds occupied by covid patients, which continues the down trend from the past several days. Stability is our friend and more importantly, no worsening whatsoever!! Will be interesting to see if the drop off in deaths noted at the end of the first week of August is confirmed as we go through the end of August. This would confirm that the rapid rise upward in deaths from June 22 to July 16th was followed by an equally rapid decline in deaths the second week of August, which would mimic the chart behavior from the pandemic up north.
