Trump’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations arrested 1,588 criminals engaging in Human Trafficking. Trump’s Department of Health and Human Services provided funding to support the National Human Trafficking Hotline (“Hotline”) to identify perpetrators and give victims the help they need. The Hotline identified 16,862 potential human trafficking cases. Trump’s Department of Justice provided grants to organizations that provide support to human trafficking victims which served 9,000 plus cases from July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2018. The Department of Homeland Security has hired more victim assistance specialists, helping victims get resources and support.
Alternatively, Democrats advocate disbanding the first line of defense against human trafficking … ICE and DHS. The notion that the Trump Administration doesn’t serve the people … only crony capitalists ... is a lie.
