Withdrawal Works

From an economic perspective, I think a withdrawal from Syria and Afghanistan is just what America needs. It’s time to stop the fiscal military-industrial-Congressional complex hemorrhaging and cut off the war time aid laundering political profiteers. The only war we should be fighting is against the intransigently corrupt tail wagging the dog bureaucratic and political oligarchy. Time was, our dependence on Middle Eastern oil defined our economic and national security interests in the region. Thanks to President Trump, we are no longer dependent on Middle Eastern oil. Consequently, our interest and policies in the region must necessarily change. Best of all … energy independence allows us to forego babysitting the genocidally irreconcilable theological differences between various Arabic tribal factions.

In the event that oil production in the Middle East should suffer … "interruptions" … as these factions purpose to resolve their centuries old differences … we should stand ready to fill the void. I have no objection to reversing the unprecedented transfer of wealth and economic hardship visited upon us by the nonsensical drilling moratoriums that enslaved us to Middle Eastern dollar per barrel demands, required the commitment of the blood of our sons and tax dollars to secure their ‘safety’, and made us diplomatically vulnerable to their tyrannical instability.

I am okay with the prospect of enjoying the national prosperity that the President’s foreign policy will inevitably bring. In fact … I'm better than okay with it …
