My mother always said "consider the source." Good advice, but it is not universally accepted or applied. You see, there’s a double standard for liberals and conservatives. Conservative CEO’s have lost their jobs for making ‘unfashionable’ donations. But curiously … the Democrat Party has suffered little fall out or consequence from the open and notorious patronage of Hungarian born business magnate, atheist, inside trader, currency collapser, and delusionally messianic economic war criminal and wannabe public intellectual, George Soros. The Man Who Broke the Bank of England and collapsed the Malaysian currency for fun and extreme profit. In fact, as the Democrat party inexorably spasms left … an apologetic has emerged for its long association with George Soros. Soros has donated over $32,000,000,000.00* dollars through his “Popperian” Open Society Institute to a myriad of left wing groups committed to Soros’s militant ideology of toppling the “fascist” tyranny of the United States, which he says must undergo “de-Nazification” in favor of “justice.” I’m pretty sure that he meant “just us”. His Hungarian accent can make him difficult to understand. Not that he hasn’t made himself abundantly clear in a variety other contexts … particularly the written word. Soros is the author of fourteen (14) books, among them ‘The Crisis of Global Capitalism’ and “The Age of Infallibility: Consequences of the War on Terror”. It is in the latter that Soros popularized the lie of the Bush / Hitler-Stalin analogies to describe “the darkness descending upon America.” A disingenuously inflammatory practice that has spread like an infectious rhetorical disease.
But, it is Soros’ obsession with his conceptions of global governance and “a world order run by multilateral institutions without the "abiding military primacy of the United States to sustain it” that drives his political ambition and informs his aggressive strategic "philanthropy". Soros and his highly partisan comrades believe that their conviction(s) are beyond reproach marginalizing his critics as morally flawed at best … or outright criminals. It is this attempt to marginalize Soros’ critics that we saw gratuitously manifest in Dr. Fiona Hill’s … uh hem ... “testimony.” In his book, ‘Underwriting Democracy’, Soros stated: “[I]f truth be known, I carried some rather potent messianic fantasies with me from childhood,” fantasies which “I wanted to indulge … to the extent that I could afford.” In a June 1993 interview with The Independent, Soros, said he saw himself as “some kind of god, the creator of everything.” Later, he described himself as someone who shared numerous attributes with “God in the Old Testament” — “You know, like invisible. I was pretty invisible. Benevolent. I was pretty benevolent. All-seeing. I tried to be all-seeing.”
I suppose it’s only natural that Soros would gravitate to liberal causes and the Democrat Party. After all, as far as most conservatives and Republicans are concerned … the job of God has already been filled.
