Respond?
I've been thinking. Is it necessary or prudent to spend any time entertaining, responding to, and/or treating the endless political opinions of your friends and relatives with respect when they have spent the last three (3) years haranguing and harassing you about supporting a President who is a Russian spy and being on the 'wrong side of history' without acknowledging their error, or apologizing for their bug-eyed-forehead-vein-throbbing year to year vituperation?
Don't get me wrong. I'm okay with confining our exchanges to the condition of the roads, the weather, and the latest antics of their spouse, children or dogs. But, I guess, right now, it's difficult for me to take anything they say seriously ... and while we're confronting a deadly pandemic with so much in the balance ... I'm thinking that may be life is too short to tolerate people who are supposed to be your friends unloading their anger and political lies all over you.
Am I being selfish?
