Al-qaeda loyalists formed Jama'at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad in 1999 and became ISIL declaring itself a worldwide caliphate (known as the “Islamic State”) in June 2014 … claiming religious, political and military authority over all Muslims. By the end of 2014, ISIL controlled sovereign territory in western Iraq and Eastern Syria and an indigenous population of 8 to 12 million people through the imposition of its particular brand of Sharia Law. ISIL quickly spread to 18 other countries … with a budget of over $1,000,000,000.00 dollars and military forces in excess of 30,000 men. ISIL’s success was largely the result of the feckless Obama foreign policy and the restrictive rules of engagement imposed upon our military. It is a prime example of the contrived use of restrained force to maximize expenditure and increase the power, influence and budgets of the American military industrial complex … and minimize the chance of an actual victory that would bring that spending fueled expansion and bureaucratic consolidation of power to an end. Understand, this wasn’t the manifestation of a lack of political will or military capability … it is and was an expression of bureaucratic corruption and the parasitic relationship between politicians, defense contractors, recipients of foreign aid and the emptying of your pockets by nefarious means. I find all the criticism of this President to be confirmation of this. Criticizing THIS PRESIDENT for his commitment to vanquishing ISIS? Seriously?
Historically, our 'representatives' have been engaged in marginally convincing hawks and doves kabuki theater. The only thing that they have agreed upon is that the American people have not really had a choice. The President has pulled back the curtain and shown us that we can win and bring these wars to an end … and that we can situationally address each crisis given our ability to globally project our power and influence without permanent boots on the ground. But, it’s clear that both sides are resisting bringing this massive wealth transfer to an end.
Witness the now masks off liberal doves warning of the danger of cease fires and military withdrawals … while lionizing our enemies. Endless wars and foreign aid are and have been a wealth transferring money laundering operation with our ‘representatives’ getting their cut.
Ask the Clintons, Bidens, Kerrys, Heinz’ … and so many of our ‘first’ families … preferably from a witness stand.
