Congressional Culpability

This is pitiful. I’m reading all sorts of social media comments about the President cutting funding and not allocating enough money in the budget. Have you all fallen down, smacked your heads and forgotten that in the federal government of the United States, the power of the purse is vested in the Congress as provided in the Constitution of the United States, Article I, Section 9, Clause 7 (the Appropriations Clause) and Article I, Section 8, Clause 1 (the Taxing and Spending Clause). If you have a bitch about the amount of money being allocated for a specific program, contact your Congress(wo)men and Senators.With all due respect, listening to people talk about the primary functions of their government on social media is like being dropped into a conversation with mental patients. Knowledge is power. Be powerful … not pitiful.
