Abuse Can Be Tough to Read

All predators have their protectors. You'll note that many of these victims are identified as having dyslexia. That is not always the case. The trauma of child sexual abuse can derail normal neurological development and function. This damage can affect a child's development of certain skills ... more particularly reading. The neurological affect of the trauma can manifest in a manner similar to dyslexia. This is an often missed or dismissed sign of sexual abuse and exploitation.
